Multi-hyphenate entertainer Marianne Faithfull has died.

She was 78 years old.

The BBC reported her spokesperson confirmed her death, in a statement that read she “passed away peacefully in London today, in the company of her family.”

Faithfull was a singer, an actress and the one-time girlfriend of Mick Jagger. Deadline called Faithfull a muse to not only the Rolling Stones but also David Bowie.

Faithfull’s father was a British intelligence officer and professor while her mother was the daughter of Austro-Hungarian nobleman.

She attended a party at the age of 17 or 18 that was being thrown for the Rolling Stones. That’s where their manager, Andrew Loog Oldham discovered her. She released an album a year and included what would become her signature song “As Tears Go By,” written by Jagger, Keith Richards and Oldham, Deadline reported.

She was part of the Mod London movement and had a four-year relationship with Jagger.

But during that time, she became addicted to heroin and prescription drugs that lasted longer than the relationship. She released an album in 1979, “Broken English” that earned her a Grammy nomination despite her drug abuse damaging her voice, Deadline reported.

She also appeared in such films as “The Girl on a Motorcycle,” “Marie Antoinette” and was a voice actress in “Dune: Part One,” according to IMDB.

In addition to drug addiction, Faithfull also suffered from bulimia, breast cancer and emphysema over her life.

She had COVID-19 in 2020 with doctors doubting her survival. But a year later, she released her 21st album, “She Walks in Beauty,” the BBC reported.
