A Home for Baby & Buster Bonded 15-Year-Old Maltese Mixes | Rescued Just in Time – Now They Need You
This is a plea from the heart.
Baby and Buster are two sweet, gentle Maltese mixes—both 15 years old—who lost everything when their beloved owner passed away. With nowhere to go, these senior boys were on their way to a crowded kill shelter when we stepped in to give them a second chance.
Despite their age and the upheaval they’ve faced, Baby and Buster are incredibly loving, affectionate, and full of life. They are deeply bonded and have spent their entire lives together—we will not separate them.
Since coming into our care, we’ve made sure they got everything they needed: ✔️ Dentals to ease their discomfort ✔️ Neuters ✔️ Treatment for tick-borne diseases ✔️ A soft bed, good food, and gentle care
Now, all that’s missing is a forever home filled with love, patience, and comfort. They don’t need much—just a safe place to rest, a warm lap, and someone who sees the beauty in giving two senior souls the peaceful, happy retirement they deserve.
Please consider opening your heart and home to Baby and Buster. They’ve been through so much—and they deserve to live out their golden years surrounded by kindness and love.
Adopt Baby & Buster. Keep them together. Give them the happy ending they’ve waited a lifetime for. To adopt, come on down or apply in advance at saveapetusa.org/adoption-form/
Save-A-Pet is a 501c3 no-kill shelter and have rescued and re-homed over 40,000 companion animals. We rely solely on donations. Save-A-Pet is located in the heart of Long Island in Port Jefferson Station. We have a low-cost vaccination and spay/neuter clinic. At Save-A-Pet’s Long Island animal shelter, we believe it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless cats and dogs, and to place them in loving permanent homes. We provide spay and neuter services for Long Island feral cats and any necessary medical care for pets. We work diligently to educate the public, especially children, on the importance of pet sterilization, responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals.
If you are looking to adopt a pet, please view the dogs and cats at our Long Island adoption shelter and then fill out our online adoption application at saveapetusa.org
