Meet Popcorn! Popcorn is a 7-month old deaf Lab/Pit mix. She was found being kicked and taunted by some guys in the hood of Macon, Georgia - treated like she didn’t matter at all. She was nothing but a bag of bones, bruised and beaten, and broken by the very world she tried to trust. And yet she is a sweet and loving pup despite the cruel beginning to her life. With the TLC from the angels at Save -A- Pet she has healed her outward wounds.
She can’t hear the world’s noise, but she listens with her heart - a heart that somehow still knows how to forgive, how to love, and how to hope. Popcorn survived cruelty no soul should ever endure. All she’s asking for now is what she never had: safety, kindness, and a forever home that will love her as deeply as she loves back. How is it possible that there is no one for her yet? Will you be Popcorn’s savior and best friend?

At Save-A-Pet’s Long Island animal shelter, we believe it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless cats and dogs, and to place them in loving permanent homes.
